At Saengkhiri Farm, we believe that the beauty of nature should be endless. That is why we have designed our 10-rai area to constantly change colors and themes with the seasons. This guarantees that no matter when you visit, you will always have a memorable and unique experience. Prepare to witness the spectacle of our flower fields that will transform the landscape of Chiang Rai throughout the year, featuring our 3-Season Flower Plan which combines new economic crops and rare ornamental plants.
Winter: The Golden Ocean
Timing: Approximately November – February
Color Theme: Golden Yellow / Bright Gold
When the cold season arrives, Saengkhiri Farm transforms into a vast, golden canvas with the warm and romantic “The Golden Ocean Field” theme.
* The Star Attraction: A spectacular 10-rai field of Sunn Hemp flowers blooming simultaneously, creating a landscape resembling a brilliant golden ocean stretching to the horizon – a perfect backdrop for your joyful photographs.
* The Crop of the Future: We have begun trial cultivation of Canola, an oilseed crop with vibrant yellow flowers, in preparation for harvesting high-quality seeds and adding visual interest to the golden field towards the end of winter.
* Special Feature: During certain periods, we feature seasonal imported flowers in a limited area to offer unique perspectives and elevate the farm’s standard of beauty.
Summer: Royal Purple Serenity
Timing: Approximately March – May
Color Theme: Deep Violet / Indigo Purple
To soothe the summer heat, Saengkhiri Farm shifts to the “Royal Purple Serenity” theme, offering a peaceful, cooling, and picturesque atmosphere.
* The Star Attraction: A spectacular 10-rai field of Blue Salvia blooming in unison, creating a grand indigo-purple carpet under the summer sun. This flowering plant offers vibrant colors and excellent resilience to the weather conditions.
* Perennial Elegance: We interplant with the beautiful light-purple blossoms of the Jacaranda (or Sri Trang), an ornamental perennial tree. This addition enhances the elegance and provides shade along the pathways, ensuring that a stroll through the farm in summer remains fresh and impressive.
Rainy Season: The Jewel of Siam
Timing: Approximately June – October
Color Theme: Multi-Colored / Fuchsia Pink (Warm Tones)
Despite being the rainy season, this is when Patumma (Curcuma), also known as the “Tulip of Siam,” comes into full bloom at Saengkhiri Farm.
* The Star Attraction: Multi-colored Patumma, with a beauty rivalling international tulips. This is the peak time when we showcase the splendor of our crucial economic flower.
* A Global Mission: The rainy season is not only a time for tourism but also the period for harvesting high-quality Patumma bulbs in preparation for export to international markets, especially in Asia. This underscores our vision to be a producer of bulbs meeting global standards.
* Special Feature: Visitors can experience the lifecycle of this key economic flower firsthand, and capture photos amidst the magnificent, blooming Patumma fields.
